Donating to IFCR

In Loren Eisley’s story, The Starfish Thrower, a young boy had the belief that he could overcome a tragic situation and make a difference, even though others saw it as an impossible task. As families with a child suffering from a CDKL5 disorder, we will not give up until we find better treatments and a cure for this devastating disorder.

The cost and the amount of work to be done seems insurmountable, but if we stand side-by-side and view the starfish-strewn beach through the hopeful eyes of a small child, each of us can do our small part to get our starfish safely back to the sea. If we wait for a rogue wave to wash up on shore and save them, we may be waiting a very long time, and time is of the essence.

Let's start throwing our starfish now! Imagine what we can accomplish together in just 12 months. As a CDKL5 Starfish Thrower, for as little as $10 per month, you can help fund important research that can have a direct impact on a child with CDKL5 disorder. There are around 600 families worldwide that are directly affected by a child with a CDKL5 disorder. If each of those 600 families donated $50 per month to IFCR, that’s $360,000 in one year! That’s over $1,000.000 in the next three years!

As a CDKL5 Starfish Thrower, your monthly contribution provides IFCR with much needed funding for research initiatives that directly impact the affected children.
